Also, I'm just wondering, do you think you would have registered as a Federalist, or as a Democratic-Republican back in the day?

Several come to mind:

LBJ - escalated a low-level conflict in Indochina into a full-pledged and, in hindsight, a completely unnecessary war.

Richard Nixon - for displaying presidential ethical standards that would make most 3rd world despots blush--and for signing away the US dollar's gold standard, which after 30 years is coming around to kill the US economy now.

GWB - for exercising blatant and complete disrespect for the virtues of the US Constitution and the people it protects. Also, for enthusiastically and successfully facilitating bin Laden's intent of inspiring hate in all Americans against others and vice versa. Way to go genius.

The worst president so far is U.S. Grant. The next would be Mr. Carter. The last one would be Mr. Clinton, who has had more of his cabinet brought up on more charges than any other president in the history of the U.S.
I would have been a Whig.
