For example, when I try to type (?), instead I need to press the (-) button. It´s driving me crazy!!!! All the signs are messed up everywhere, and I can´t find the @ sign anywhere! (I just copied and pasted) Do you think it is some sort of virus??

I can think of two things; keyboard settings and hardware failure. If you're running Windows, go into the Control Panel and check the "Regional and Language Options". If you're in the US, you probably want the "English (United States)" option. Other languages have different keyboard configurations.

If that's not it, the other thing I can think of is a bad keyboard. Before rushing out to buy one, borrow somebody else's keyboard and see if it works. If it does, you have a hardware problem and need a new keyboard.

Hope this helps.

Could be a bad keyboard. Is it old or super dirty? You can get good ones for $10, or even lower if you have a PC parts warehouse near you.

If you are using a laptop or keyboard without a number pad try turning off the number lock.

maybe u have the wrong drivers for that device.
or somebody spilled water in your keyboard.
that happened to me. i spilled water on my keyboard
and when i pressed 'B' it came out ' | '.
it cant be a virus because viruses cant interfere with the files on
the rom chips that the keyboard has unless it affects the drivers
or maybe u plugged in the USB or PS/2 port wrong unless the ports have something to do with it.

Try using another KB and see what happens. You buy a cheap one for less than $10 or maybe borrow one just to try it.
If it still does it then you know the problem is internal.
You can aslo check for a virus.
Here is a list of free scans.I would recommend running ewido first.
