never heard a doctor say, oh, well you need this surgery because you are fat so we'll just let the public pay your bills for you. and I'm sure the airline doesn't say go ahead and take two seats, we'll just charge the next guy for it. so, what makes people come up with such weird ideas?

Being fat is not one of the catagories that is protected, like age, handicap or sex. So the media has made it ok to say whatever about fat people. One of the favorite sterotypes is that fat people are stupid and lazy, so of course people come up with weird ideas.
Just for the record, our insurance would not pay for any stomach-stapling surgery and the air lines do charge fat people for two seats and the air line decides who is too fat.

uh unless they are on welfare, or receive assistance from the state of some kind we don't pay for it their health insurance does and they pay their health insurance...skinny people are abusing the system just as much as fat people. They need to do a complete overhaul of the procedures and policies if they want anything to get any better.

what about anorexics getting medical assistance for their problems? Its not just fat people.

YOU SHOULDN'T MAKE FUN OF FAT PEOPLE, THEIR WAS A LADY ON HERE THE OTHER DAY, AND HER DAUGHTER GOT HER STOMACH STAPLED, AND SHE DIED. SHE GOT IT DONE B/C PEOPLE LIKE YOU MADE FUN OF FAT PEOPLE.
