Yes, I'm a senior, also. Feel some seniors, as well as many women show no civility in grocery stores. Seniors gather in groups , totally blocking aisles for chat, and I KNOW they aren't so demented that they aren't aware that they are in the way.

Women, of ALL ages, have the terrible habit of putting the cart on one side of the aisle (with purse in the cart), and shopping on the other side of the aisle while holding on to the cart! This we see daily! So rude, and the nasty looks a man gets if he wants past one of these "road blocks".

And finally, this is to the fat ladies looking for a man; making a show of bending over to check something on the bottom shelf when you notice a "man" coming up the aisle is really obvious and many of us laugh about how often that happens. Especially unattractive when it is an enormous butt in stretch pants.

Let the hate mail flow, what I say is true, look around the next few times you are in a store.

Sure, and someday you'll be one of them in someone else's way, trying to figure out how to push the buttons on your electric cart wheeling you around.

Why don't you write your congressional representatives to pass a Senior Day Shopping Law so you can avoid being inconvenienced by these decrepit, despicable, slow moving turtles. In fact, maybe there's an isolated island they could be shipped off to for permanent mandatory living as a senior or "elder."

Better yet, why not shuttle people with your attitude off to Mars where you'll be out of their way.

I agree with the person who said, they were here first. Yes, they were and someday you will also be old and doing the same thing and someone will complain about you. So what? There are many important things in life to be concerned about and possibly change.

I've always taught my children (and was taught myself) to respect my elders. I hope you can learn to do the same; you could learn a lot.

Good luck.

just hope you are not so unlucky to stay here and get into the young peoples way, in 20 30 o 40 years from here.

I believe you might be a real pain in the *** for these youngsters.

If you feel so inconvenienced, hire a private shopper. Money talks and you know what walks...very slowly through crowded stores. Show respect for Seniors. I love seeing people who are older being independent and enjoying their shopping.

Try to not go on seniors' days - they can be heck. Otherwise, just have some patience and smile at them once in a while. Your parents will be seniors, if they aren't already, and so will you, too, be one day.

Well, how sad there in your way. Remember this, if you live long enough you will be a senior someday. Treat them like you'd like your mom and dad treated. What goes around comes around. Maybe I should take back the remark about treating them like you'd like your mom and dad treated. With your attitude maybe you treat your own parents like crap.

This sounds like a generalization. Just try to be tolerant and ask them politely to move if they are in your way. Peace

I agree completely. When I was a freshman and sophmore, those obnoxious seniors were always giving me a hard time and acting like they were SO superior.
