I don't! I wait until after Thanksgiving. I never go to the stores the day after Thanksgiving either. It is that bad to do Christmas shopping, and I like to decorate for Halloween and Thanksgiving too. There's plenty of time for all the holidays. No need to hurry!

Advent had it right - marketing. A lot of people I know get to het up about Christmas for two months ahead that they are damned sick of it by the time it actually rolls around.

In october it starts the last quarter of the year, so is the last chance for companies to boost profits. I will say marketing also

I don't know, but it shits me!! I'm sure they're half the reason time seems to be going so fast. One of the girls at my work counts down from half way through the year "Only 26 weeks till Christmas!!" Honestly, is that REALLY necessary?

Cause a good christmas can be very expensive for 1 everything done at the last minute can be disastrous!

Because we don't want to rush at the end of November or the beginning of December... Plus my kids enjoy it... there's too many things going in the months of Nov and Dec to do it all... plus it's less denting in the budget to it this way...
