I was wondering if anyone could suggest any unique or cool ideas for halloween costumes that could be bought cheap or easily made or put together?

all green or purple clothing. paint face and hands same color safety pin balloons of the same color all over ~ A Bunch of Grapes
flannel shirt, blue jeans, whipstitch a few colorful patches on, rope for belt, stuff a little straw so it hangs out of jean and shirt cuffs tie off with rope, a little cheek and eye make-up, bandana aroung the neck, straw hat ~ Scarecrow
an old formal dress, a pair of white gloves, a tiara, some flashy jewelry, high heals. make a sash (old pillow case?) and write ” Miss America” in glue sprinkle with glitter ~ Miss America

One year my daughter went as a Christmas Present. We took a box and cut out arms and a whole for the head.Then we wrapped it up pretty with a big bow on it. She wore it around and got many compliments.
Another year she went as grapes. We blew up a bunch of purple balloons and she wore purple tights (or leggings) and a purple turtle neck. We taped the balloons all over her. I think we painted her face with purple face paint (I can't remember that part!). She looked so adorable. Good luck and I hope these helped.

You Can be a human trash can! Just punch a giant whole out of a new trash can. Tie a rope around the lid and tie it on your head. And stuff alot of stuff that LOOKS LIKE trash into the trashcan with you like rolled up paper balls, rubber banana peels, ripped clothing, wrappers...etc

Wear all white - take a piece of yellow felt and cut a circle - safety pin it to your midsection. Buy some cheap devil horns, and maybe a trident.
Look at you - you are a deviled egg!

Here's one, make a cardboard box have a face on it and hair (that should be easy with the right stuff), and put it on your head and be a charicature of yourself.
