I know that the morning after pill is the same hormone found in birth control pills but I'm not sure how much more it is. The condom broke yesterday and I'm flat broke. However, I do have some bc pills that I stopped taking for various reasons. I have been relying on condoms and that didnt work out so well obviously.

It is not the exact same thing!!! Yes, emergency contraceptive pills, or the morning after pill, is composed of hormones similiar to those in birth control pills. Similiar, but not the same. Some birth control pils can be used that way and others can not. Emergency contraceptive pills do not contain estrogen and the large majority of birth control pills do have estrogen. They are not the same. If you take the birth control pills that you have on hand fo rthis purpose you may very well have some unpleasant side effects and they may very well not be effective as emergency contraception because they are not meant for this purpose. I understand that money is tight, but money will be even tighter if you become pregnant. I would strongly encourage you to obtain Plan B, the emergency contraceptive pills.
FYI: You can not "overdose" on birth control pills. You can not die or cause serious health risks from taking an abundance of them at once.

There are some pills that work as a the morning after pill but, I can't tell you which ones. It is true that some work but, the majority of birth control pills do not have the right kind of progestin in them and will not work as Plan B. If you need Plan B, your best bet would be the local sexual health clinic or planned parenthood. They might help you out. Also, what about your partner? Surely, he doesn't want you to be pregnant either. Make him pay up!

my god! NEVER use the pill as the same method of BC as the morning after pill! NEVER should you take ANY pills in an abundance!
Go to your nearest health clinic and see if they can help you out or guide you to a place where they can help you.
Also, you should never take more then 2 birth control pills...it says right on the pack, that if you miss 2 days in a row you can double up...but after that you have to start over and use a back-up method.
Please please please do not take the pills to equal to the morning after pill, it's more then likely you will cause some serious health-effects to yourself!

Taking lots of birth control pills is a very bad idea...don't do it. It will mess up your intestinal flora and it will take you a long time to get your body re-balanced.

Believe me...I tried this once and spent thousands of dollars trying to get my digestive system back to normal.

Chances are...you are not pregnant. Here's a better solution...check out this site: http://www.sisterzeus.com/neem.html

the birthcontrol pill and the morning after pill are not the same thing, and to overdose on birth control pills could cause serious medical problems, sterrillity and possibly death. don't risk your life over this.

Call the nurse on call at a reputable hospital; most will answer general medical questions without requiring an appointment.

I wouldn't take a bunch of BC if I were you, it's very dangerous. Go to your local health clinic, they should give them to you for nothing. And, if not, they can help you through this situation.

I've never had a condom break. maybe you need to buy a better brand or possibly get a b/c shot or patch if the pill is too much trouble for you.
remember, abortion is not birth control...it is murder.
