Yes, I had the same experience, it sounds like. It happened many years ago and I never did find out what it was about. I was scared too.

Yes I have experienced this often. When I was a christian I use to think it was demons, I now know it has something to do with the mind waking up moments before the body. Even before I read about the subject |I came to this conclusion after many years. I also have an experience when going to sleep. A feeling of being 'sucked' into my body. This happens more often but only about 2 times a year now. And is related to being over tired.
Many people experience similiar. I f you are christian you may relate it to demons, if not christian you may relate it to ghost. If Muslims you may reate it to jinn
You end up suffering fear at this point in time when it happens to you and so you will usually associate the experience with something you imagine to be terrible and 'spiritual'. Thats why nothing ends up happening. There are people who claim being raped etc, but no evidence that this ever happens. They are usually just empty claims.

Either you were still in a dream state or coming out of one, but I'm concerned there are deeper issues here, unless you watched a scary movie lately. Analyze yourself. Are you an aggressive, take charge person or an easy going, I don't want trouble person. Go from there and maybe your dreams are trying to tell you to stand up for yourself more. As for me, I've never felt like someone was holding me down and if I have a bad dream you can bet I'm defending myself and loved ones.

Yes I have. Ive also had the feeling of someone pulling at my legs. When you get these feelings, it usually means some being is actually there. I can give you a technique to actually see them if you want. Best way to get rid of them is by imagining your body as a blue/grey mist or fog. Then step this fog out of your body and give the being thats holding you a big hug. They hate this. If it doesnt work, give them a kiss aswell. Iam being serious, no one should go to bed feeling unsafe. Eventually they wont come back. You have to get rid of your fear first, because they feed on fear. Good Luck

It is a common thing. You are half asleep and half awake. You are dreaming but trying to wake up. Your flight or fight instincts keep you from moving until you are completely awake. This is the body's way of keeping you from getting hurt. In the dark ages people thought that it was demons. Incubi and Sucubi. Google it.

Yes, I sure have. On more than one ocassion and each one was equally as frightening. I believe it is a sleep disorder where we are caught in between the dream and awake stages. Our brain automatically paralyzes our body so that we do not physically act out what we are dreaming about. People who sleepwalk act out what they are dreaming or sub consciously thinking about. I do believe it is a sleep disorder.
On the other hand, somebody that has passed on may be trying to reach you through the channels of your subconscious mind, hence while sleeping. Some are more in tune to that side of their universe/other 90 percent of supposed unused brain than others.

Yes.
Either you've got a sadistic ghost or you're suffering from the more common form of something known as "Night Terrors."
Paralysis or feeling as though someone is bearing down on you is a typical complaint, believe it or not.

I had that same experiance, I got rid of any material in my home that was connected to the demonic realm. You need to have a priest come in and pray over your house and command the demons to leave.
