Go to each site, configure with the stuff you want, and see which one turns out cheaper. They are both good, so just see which one turns out cheaper for what you want.

Well you need to consider 2 more things besides "Gaming" in your requirements. You need to consider "Is price a factor" in your decision making. Dell laptops are the same power if you build one similar th a Alien one. But the cost diff will be a lot. Are you ready to sheell that extra bucks for a Alien laptop.

The second thing you need to consider is the WOW factor. Today owening a Alien Laptop is a WOW factor. Its like owening a MAC. Ppl look at you with Envy.

But all n all if you ask me, dell laptops are equally fast and powerful if the other 2 factors i mentioned donot matter to you..

all the best.. cheers

If it is purely gaming that you are after you should definitely go for the alien ware. Alien ware computers are made for gaming, while dells are made for all-around use. If you want a pc for gaming and other use, compare the two. And if you want one for purely documents and such, go for a dell.

I prefer Dell even though dell owns alienware too. Alienware has more alienware processors and dell is inclined toward intel.

Neither! Dell sucks because you are limited on modifications, alienware sucks cause its too high in price! Build your own!

If you want your comp to die in 3 years, and have to deal with outsourced tech support from people who don't know what they're doing and are just reading from a script, go with Dell.

Seriously speaking, go to newegg.com. You'll find better computers there for a lower price.
