I had a little girl three years ago and didn't know that I was pregnant until around 5 months. I had normal periods, no morning sickness, and gained little weight(just assumed it was the freshman 15). Never had any problems, nothing, just seemed like a plain 9 month span minus feeling her movement.
This time I'm only 15 weeks and I've had "morning" sickness morning, noon, and night. Breasts were tender before I even knew I was pregnant, haven't had a period, and now I find out I'm anemic. I don't know what I'm having, but if you believe in the old wives's tales, it should be a girl because I'm so sick. My mother-in-law is now convinced that it is a girl because it's heartbeat is so high.
I just ignore it all because I know that no one knows for sure what we are having yet. I'm not rude about it, I just usually say something like we'll see or maybe, then change the topic. Congratulations!

RE:
Has anyone had two pregnancies that have different symptoms?
I was just wondering if anyone has had two very different pregnancy symptoms. Like with my son my breast hurt really bad from about the 5 week on but I'm pregnant now (11 weeks) and I have no symptoms of being pregnant. I was just wondering if this is normal. My family is trying to tell that I...

Oh yeah. I have three sons, and all my pregnancies were so different. Feeling no pregnancy symptoms doesn't mean you're having a girl, all pregnancies are unique. My third pregnancy I felt great the whole time, and people thought he was a girl, it's just old wives tales. My first pregnancy had the most symptoms. I've heard a lot of other moms say this too. I think that your body is adjusting to the whole pregnancy thing and you feel everthing. with later pregnancies, your body is accustomed to being pregnant, and they tend to be easier. Congratulations!!!

Pregnancies can be very different. I was vomiting constantly the whole nine months of my pregnancy with my first child, and ended up weighing less at delivery than when I got pregnant. My second pregnancy (another boy) was nothing like that. There are many old wive's tales about telling the sex of the baby by the rate of the baby's heart, whether the mom carries the baby "high" or "low", or if the mother glows (boy) or looks tired and blotchy (a girl supposedly, how sexist is that!) but in reality none of those are true. Even ultrasounds don't always get the sex right. Most often, girls are mistaken for boys by a handily positioned umbilical cord.

Congratulations, with every pregnancy it's different, I am on my 4th pregnancy with my 3rd baby, my 1st born a son I had no symptoms of been pregnant, it was a very easy pregnancy no morning sickness, I carried really low, everything was a real breeze, With my second baby it was very much the same but it was still very different, I carried very high but had no morning sickness another breezy pregnancy, but very different in the same. I had a girl.
This pregnancy has been a real shock its been morning sickness, heartburn aching legs sore back, blar blar blar very different from both my son and daughter, the only thing that's the same is I am carrying very low. But i don't know the baby's sex. Every pregnancy is different as every baby is different.
Good luck and enjoy the symptom free pregnancy its much easier and more enjoyable.

Yes, I did. With my daughter I had morning sickness until month 5 and I was exhausted throughout the whole pregnancy. Not to mention my mood swings were much worse! I made some people at work cry! (not my best moment). When I became pregnant with my son I had no idea that I was pregnant for the first 2 months! no sore breasts virtually no morning sickness. and I had plenty of energy.
Hope this answered your question.
Good Luck and Congratulations!!

I gave birth to 4 children. 3 boys and one girl. Each pregnancy was different. But all of the boys went pretty smooth. But when i was pregnant for my daughter it was terrible. Morning sickness was worse. With the two older boys I had a little problem with pre labor. But with my girl i had to have the magnesium drip and then was on bedrest for the last three months. It was a nightmare. The labor with her was also very different. There was a knot tied in her cord. So with each push her stats would go down. They were going to prep me for a c- section but the doc decided to make one last final attempt. he put a suction cup on her head a litterally pulled her out. The doc said he had never seen anything like that. But each of the boys were different to. Different cravings. Different pains. My Caleb used to kick so hard in the womb i thought he was going to puch his way out. He turned 9 years old today and you know what he is still poking me with those boney knees and elsbows. LOL. But yes Dear it is normal. Have no worries. Each pregnancy is as different as each child has a different personality. Good luck and enjoy.

Sweetie, take it from a mother of 3 and grandmother of 7, NO two pregnancies are the same. Each child is different, so is each pregnancy.

False negatives are WAY more common than false positives. Congratulations, you are most likely pregnant! Retest in a couple of days, your homrone levels will have doubled, so you'll get better results. BUT, a line is a line is a line, no matter how faint. Trust me, I know this from experience.
