I've heard Wells is the best. Wamu really good too. I'd prefer Wells over Wamu because Wells' business mix is more diversified, plus Wells has such a sterling reputation. I used to work at BofA, good place, but at least in the past they had so much growth that you'd be lost in the shuffle (kind of like a large diploma-mill university with huge classes). New hires were just a number, like cattle (or sheep) herded about & not really developed much in my opinion. I don't know about citi, I'd put them pretty far down on the list, seems that they lack in values and are pushing hard for growth anywhere they can get it the pressure which often causes an erosion of values.

I'd characterize Citi as aggressive, whereas Wells people seem to have nice, honest midwestern values. I can't really characterize the other banks, to me BofA didn't have much identity since it grew so fast and was quickly cobbled together kind of like its hometown Charlotte.

Good luck!

There are many points which you need to look out for when selecting which bank. All banks are quite general in job scope, but things which you need to look out for are not only the pay, but also the work environment, company size, structure, working hours and also promotion prospect. We can advice you on which bank but it may not suit certain people. Look for a bank which you feel you are comfortable in. That will be the best bank.

They're all pretty much the same. Except the newer banks, such as Wamu and Commerce Bank, might treat you a little better.
