This is an unlikely scenario. North Korea does not have diplomatic relations with the US at present, and the United States maintains economic sanctions against the DPRK under the Trading with the Enemy Act. The North Korean nuclear program and missile program is not currently a threat to the USA or her allies, with the exception of Japan and Australia. The only possibility of an invasion of North Korea is if they do something extremely drastic that requires our intervention. So unless they drop a nuclear bomb on one of our allies, it is unlikely. Plus, the financial burden on the US would be tremendous. We already have a significant number of troops in Iraq. Also, such a decision would be extremely unpopular with the American community as a whole. It is all unlikely, because North Korean has also pledged a no-first-strike policy, thus stopping the idea of NK dropping the bomb anytime soon.

In short, no we won't be marching into North Korea anytime soon.

The only way we will be going into North Korea is if we are highly provoked. North Korea is technically at war with South Korea, and has been for a number of years. There is also a 75000 square mile "de-militarized" zone in south Korea where American troops are positioned.

This gives us a bit of an advantage as we are allied with South Korea and we have also been there for a long time, with lots of experience in Korean warfare.

If anything happened, it would be on the part of North Korea, where in turn we would march our asses in there as we do all the time in other countries and we would clean up. No doubt in my mind. There are too many countries in this world that are against North Korea, they are just causing problems for themselves.

that's approximately funds. North Korea needs the U.S. to renew its massive shipments of gasoline oil, and to rigidity the U.N. into lowering the present financial sanctions placed on the regime. North Korea has misplaced lots considering its modern-day around of nuclear and missile sorting out decrease off this funds and oil. this is attempting to get it decrease back the only way a thug regime knows how- by using bully methods. the ladies human beings would be released, and we will not pass to conflict over it. A U.S. envoy will fly to Pyongyang (probable invoice Richardson) and civilly ask for his or her launch, as has been achieved interior the previous, with a faint promise of quid professional quo interior the air. that's approximately funds.

No doubt, and it'll be worse this time for us not them. I predict more casualties for our side because we still don't know how to fight in jungles and as far as being taller than the North Korean we're sitting ducks, also their be shooting us with our own guns this time. Sad but true, we didn't learn our lesson the first time so we're doomed to repeat our mistakes.

they've already considered it and believe we could win within 80 days but we would loose at least 52,000 troops.
Now that's the boots on the ground version, there is also the air campaign which is believed to be of little use considering how well they are dug in,then the last nuclear make them and iran into glass factories.
to me the ladder unfortunately is the only good idea/plan.

Read up on the last korean war, and how far and how fast the chinese chased them out. America won't take that chance again.

Are you kidding me, the military rejects we have enlisted now would crumble under that kind of pressure...

The military has become an outlet for rejects and freeloaders just in it for the GI Bill..

If we did we are looking at another 50k+ deaths..

Well look at history. Gee, we didn't want another "NAM". And look where we are now, Iraq and Afganistan. What do you think?
