I live in the most country area ever... my mom sits on the porch and talks to the cows... I've been in a school bus accident involving a cow... We have Ag Day, where the cows come to school... My high school's cross country track runs along a cow pasture lined with an electric fence and one of my friends touched the fence as we ran by... cows make some scary noises when giving birth at midnight...
If you think I'm making any of this up, I'm not. Seriously... This is all TRUE

No I don't particularly like cows. I was raised in farm country and they do not smell pleasant. But I don't dislike them either, they have as much right to be here as I do. I used to have to put the milking machines on them, very unpleasant as the barn is basically their bathroom. Pigs, chickens, goats and sheep don't particularly smell very good either. Horses smell better, but maybe that's because I really like horses.
Funny, to this day I can tell what kind of animals are in the area just by the smell. I was in someones garage one time and I said I smell horses, he told me that the garage use to be a tack room for horses. Didn't realize until then just how powerful the sense of smell is.
