I bought a sofa today thats 7feet long and 3 feet wide... I have to move it into my apartment in an elevator (I dont live there yet so I cant measure it) I was wondering if it will fit? from what I know the elevator is the normal residential size.

There a standards or rules of thumb, the furniture industry follows when producing furniture. If your sofa is off the showroom floor & not custom-made, it should be alright. Also width of elevator doors have certain rules to comply with too.
