Don't know of any specific ones near you, but can tell you how a very successful, lucrative one got started near me in OK. A couple (Mark & Valerie) bought 1 mile of river front propery on the lower Illinois river, undeveloped. They cleared it out, and initially only had a boat dock, primitive camp sites, some sites with electric, and a dump station, as well as showers. They gradually added more - an inground pool, small kid's fishoing pond, mini golf course, fish cleaning station. Now they have a store and bait shop, as well as an arcade, and some small cabins. Not that you need all that, but it's more of a resort type thing, which draws more people. Now the fish and game dept. dumps several hundred trout in the river at their boat dock. Lots of trout fisherman go there now. wesite www.marvalresort.com to see it. Might give you some ideas if you can't find one for sale. I know they've made money at Marval, the way it's grown over the yrs, considering it was just undeveloped land a few short yrs ago. Good luck!

There is a campground for sale in Talladega, AL 9/10 of a mile from the Talladega Superspeedway. It has over 170 sites with full hookups, including sewer. It is the only campground in the area that has a sewer line to it.
