I had a baby in April and since then I have had one short period.I am on Loestrin birth control and asked the doctor if that was causing it and she says if anything it should help regulate my periods.I have had no sudden weight gain/loss other than the loss of my pregnancy weight and that has been over a 6 month span.No stress, no other health problems, no strenious actvities. The doctor told me at my 6 week check up that everything was normal and when I called her about my period last month she didn't seem overly concerned and told me to continue with the pill and eat right.I will probably end up at a different doctors office next month if I still don't have a period, but until then...Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't had this problem but I went on Loestrin recently as well. While my obgyn was recommending it to me she mentioned that it gives you very short and light periods and that she was occasionally not even getting a period(it is the pill she is on as well). She also had given birth a few months before. That might have something to do with it, but it's probably just the pill, try changing to a brand that doesnt give you shorter periods.

I m only 17 so i havent had a baby yet but i did have a scare. While mucking around with my boyfriend i did have unprotected sex. I m on levlan ed which is a sort of pill but i didnt get my period that month. I was quite freaked out as u can imagine i havent even finished school yet. Any way, I went to see my doctor and he said that because of the pill i wouldnt be pregnant but its possible that because of the hormones in the pill that i just wasnt gonna have my period this month. He told me that when the pill was first created that because the hormone doesage was so high the sugar pill was created so that the people on the pill wouldnt have the breast pain they had from the extra hormones. So hence the suger pill was used to induce the period and give relief to the user. So its nothing to worry about its actually great you should be happy you dont have to have a period. If you are still concerned maybe ask your doctor for a blood test?

Different pills have different affect on your cycle.
Especially if you don't take them the way you are supposed to.
Missing one pill can screw up your whole cycle.
None of it is dangerous. It's only a problem if it is bothering you.
If you don't like the pill you are using. try a different one.
But not getting your period while on the pill is not usually a cause for concern.
