FRANK ZAPPA, HANDS DOWN. Listen to "the muffin man". Seriously, it is something he made up ON THE SPOT in austin texas LIVE. It's the single best guitar solo ever. Zappa blows Van halen, malmsteen, satriani, and anyone else out of the water.

the best guitar god is mick mars from motley crue. he knows how to play some sweet guitar licks without being too irritating to our ears and all his guitar licks he's ever done sound just as good today as they did back then. rock on mick rock on
