take for example : Lyon....the only team in the French league that always wins the championship. There hasn't been any other team that won the championship in the past few years. I think it is pretty ridiculous!!! I can only come up with one conclusion : Only bunch of sissies play in the league who don't know how to play soccer. Any comments ?

if a same team wins the league over & over again, it's gonna be boring coz all other teams will know that there isn't any chance for other teams to win it. thankfully, the leagues in ENGLAND, SPAIN & ITALY has a few potential challengers for the title. even in SCOTLAND, there is only two contenders, Glasgow's Old Firm rivals, Rangers & Celtic.

Lyon is a very powerful team. They've beaten Real Madrid twice and tied them away. It's like the Paris Saint Germain or Marselle of the mid 90s. PSG let Ronaldinho leave and they could've won the league. But Lyon was an average team until they won their first championship in 2000. From there on, they won all the championships.

Baller: what are you talking about? Barcelona won La Liga last year and Real Madrid pipped Valencia for second on the last day of the season (with both teams like 10 points behind Barcelona).
As far as Legue 1 goes, I think eventually it gets to the point where everyone outside of the home country doesn't even bother with it anymore. It's why the Bundesliga plays fourth fiddle to Italy, England, and Spain. People just say, "what's it matter, Bayern Munich is going to win anyhow."
But, um, it's not like the other teams have no talent at all. I mean who's going to serve as feeder teams for the Bayern Munichs and Lyons of the world?

Real Madrid has won several times in a row. And they play Barcelona!!!!! They beat some very good teams and win almost every year. Lyon is just playing bad teams, as you said. Lyon is not very good of a club

isn't that the trend in football at the moment? most of ladt season's champions lead in the standings at the moment like Barcelona in Spain, Lyon in France with the exception of Chelsea (who are just behind in goal difference) and Juventus(relegated due to match fixing scandal)

why ridiculous?? lyon is the best french team and deserves to be the winner they have juninho , fred, malouda, abidal,govou,coupet,...almost all of lyon players are great
