No links, sorry, just 40 plus years in theater, much of that as a Properties master.

Consider this first,,,then perhaps I'll get into detail about fabrication.

This is ACTING, and the audience realizes that. The Turkey will not be seen, usually any closer than at a distance of 30 feet or more, by an audience.

Now,,,

A decent strength balloon, inflated, coated in the mix, then deflated. Add to that scrap pieces of sculpted foam,,,often found in discarded comp boxes, etc. Use a heat gun, hot glue gun, hot knife, hair dryer, to sculpt and shape the drum sticks, etc.

when i was in 6th grade we had a turkey made out of a small brown paper bag just stuff it cut the top like legs worked good
