Hi Amy,
I"m surprised that others replied so politely to your rather rude reference to nudist places. Referring to them as 'colonies' is equivalent to referring to black people as '*******' and Spanish-Americans as 'spics'. Only lepers and ants live in colonies, not nudists. We are not sick, or insects.
Having said that, I attend nudist clubs and resorts in my locale on a regular basis, and they are great places to go to.
You don't have to be rich, or fat, or thin to enjoy nudism - although it seems the present trend (at least in the Anglified world) for nudists to be middle-aged to elderly obese people. I don't think this is healthy - we definitely need a gender and age balance, and something needs to be done to help it to appeal to younger people.
Don't buy into the body shaming religions or media's propaganda - be yourself! You only live once on this planet (unless you believe in reincarnation), so make the most of it!

Why not? I've been to a nude beach... it's no big deal.
People in this country are way too hung up about their bodies.
Being nude is the most natural thing there is...

Well, other than the fact that we don't call them "colonies" (we refer to them as resorts or clubs), I'm up for it.

My wife tease me to join her about 10 yrs ago, now with kids & age, I think its "over my dead body" mentality.
