They may be called "glasses" - but I'll bet you've got plastic lenses. And if I'm right, the nail polish remover has permanently dissolved the polished surface of the lens.
It may be able to be polished, but I suspect new lenses are in order.

Ohh! I'm so glad you asked this! If I'm not in the mood to smell nailpolish remover (lol) I take a hot shower, and after awhile of being in there, I guess the heat makes it soft, and so I'll just start to chip it a little, and you'll find that it peels off in big pieces! I stand in there till it's completely gone. It comes off so very easy, it doesn't ruin the nail much because it's moist, peeling it off dry will tho, and it's actually fun haha. Go try it :-P

Nail polish remover will not damage glass. Was there some kind of coating on the glasses? It would remove a coating. Are you sure you got all the paint off? If you just smeared the paint around, then it would look cloudy. If the paint is acrylic, nail polish remover should work. If the paint is oil-based, then try mineral spirits.

So I just got a new pair today and used nail polish remover to remove the logo that was on the lense and mine fogged up too. I used an eraser and just erased sections and rubbed it off with finger and it worked! It's still a little foggy but definitely better!!

If your lenses are plastic, then you're screwed. The remover has basically melted the lens. Sorry!

Lens was polycarbonate. You have to replace it. Sorry.
Wear old glasses the next time you paint. Just scrape the lenses with your fingernail, or wash them right away.

They are plastic lenses and the remover has dissolved the plastic.
There is nothing you can do bar getting a new pair.
