How old are congressional pages?

In reading about the M.Foley page scandal, I keep hearing that the pages are teenagers. Are they high school students? College kids? Are they under 18? Am just wondering because I can't imagine putting my own children into this very vulnerable situation.

Generally they are between 16 to 18.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they are rising seniors. Anyway, I myself would not be comfortable with kids around those kinds of people.
