No need to worry about The Tigers.
The week off for them will only make thier
pitching stronger.
I'm rooting for The Cardinals because that wold make for a classic World Series.

Glavine was their last hope Obi Wan!!! It looks like the Empire is doomed!!! It appears that the Bengles will feast upon the Red Bird under glass.

I hate the Mets, but I would hate to say they're done. St. Louis had three eight-game losing streaks this year, so they could collapse at any time. Also, the Mets bats are capable of exploding, like in game 4.

Still, I would certainly have to give the edge to the Cardinals, as Carpenter is way better than whoever "pitches" for the Mutts.

As I've said, I don't care who plays the Tigers, this series is not going to go more than 5 games. The Tigers are playing basically intra-squad games to remain sharp, but it's still not real game conditions. The N.L. team may get lucky and steal a game, but the World Series is not even going to be a contest.

Yes, it will be a World Series, between two-old time teams, I think it's great.

The Mets are toast.

The Cardinal's post season experience has made the difference. When basically your whole team has been to the World Series, it makes a huge difference over a bunch of big name stars who have never played for a winning team. Well except Cliff Floyd but he's injured anyhow.

Jeffrey, you've drank the Tigers kool aid. The Tigers will win, but it's going to be in 6 and it's going to be four or five really close games.

Should we stick a fork in em? Games 6&7 are at Shea.

The Cards looked "done" 2 years going back to St Louis down 3-2 to the Astros.

The Marlins did it against the Cubs in 2003.

Yip....they're done....Go Cards! Whew!

The Mets just don't seem to have the backbone that it takes to win a pennant this year. They have the talent, but it doesn't look like they know how to behave when the underdog bites back.

Not like it matters. No team the NL could have sent would beat the Tigers this year.
