Take racism from every point of view...

In law..the Dred Scott Decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, the Separate but Equal decisions and the Brown vs. the Board of Education, etc....

Socially...the Civil Rights Movement headed by Dr. Martin Luther King.

Economically...How much purchasing power do minorities have throughout the world.

Medically...How much of a threat is someone who has been an outcast due to racism have upon the majority. Can they become a health hazard without being properly cared for due to the absence of medicines.

Contributions...How much of a contribution has minorities made in other parts of the world.

The arts...How much of a contribution has minority communities made to the whole nation in the form of military soldiers during times of war, rescue volunteers and employees (police-fire-etc.)

I think you could make a good point at the significance of people being able to live and work together regardless of race, religion or cultural background. We need each other.

I'm wondering why you would focus on aboriginals in Australia, when we have all sorts of examples of racism right here in the United States. Go to any large city and you will find Hispanics in one area, African Americans in another, Hmong people elsewhere and so on. Why does this happen? It seems that we all have a fear of people who are different than us and it takes courage and work to get past that fear.

thats a loaded question,,be more specific like Marne... said. Everyone has been dealt a different card in life and has had different things happen to them to help develope their beliefs or prejudices. Everything has a stereotype attached to it, whether someone follows thru with it or acts upon it is the validity or depth of his or her's racism.

well whites run the country and when a black person acts racist against white people in power i guess it effects all people because the white person may make laws to interferer with a persons life like segregation lower the funding for minority charities and make less low rentals
