no not really..... it gives a place and space where people can have their say and give opinion's just like i am now... we can have the opportunity to be a little controversial if we so decide.. as i myself have been.. it is great to hear what people have to say about a topic or point of view that you might have.. even if those comments are venting frustration towards you and your question.. every one has something to say, its great

No, I don't think so. Yahoo answers is many different subjects, there is simply something for everybody. I happen to enjoy politics so I drifted here and have stayed primarily in this section every since. While I vent I still answer questions honestly sometimes based on opinion and sometimes based in fact. I use it to relax and take me away from the troubles of the day.

Personally, I just want to get other people's opinion on things and keep an open mind on political views. I'm not a Democrat or a Republican, but an American. I think its absolutely useless to be constantly slinging mud at another individual over politics. It has to be a miserable life to be full of such hate and anger! I have friends who are far right wing republicans, and friends who are left wing democrat! They respect my opinions, I respect theirs! And usually we don't talk much politics, but if we do, and they say something I disagree with: Hey ITS AMERICA! and in America we all have the right to believe whatever we want! Wanna a Beer man?

I was never under the misconception that these groups were meant for action. They are merely entertainment for a bored group of underachieving citizens who flex the muscles of their darker sides in an anonymous forum. That is all. A very few are actually seeking information, and many of those are under 18. The discussion sections on Yahoo are even worse, extremists and flakes from all political persuasions who name-call, spread hate, and generally makr a huge archive of stupidity for future generations to look back on in disbelief.

A lot of Non-Republicans waste a lot of time trying to educate and reason with Republicans, but they receive hate back instead and everything becomes tit for tat. Never fight that way because they can't be budged from their beliefs. You are right that Non-Republicans should be taking action elsewhere that will have some effect and may better this country before it's too late.

The only other place is "Free Speech Zones" . If you protest on the
street the military will start hunting, stalking, tracking and terrorizing
citizens.
If americans speak out againist the corporations that own the country and its politicians you could be setup to be followed 24/7
the rest of your life. No joke!!!!!!!
There are now military black ops huniting americans here in america. Using Directed energy weapons, lasers and microwaves to kill americans that talk out. Guns and nives are not used anymore more sinister ways are being used to kill
citizens who speak out.

I am very involved politically. And yes I get to (vent) say things that are on my mind, and I hope to and learn from this site.
I do something in the political arena weekly.
That is what I love about this country, and that is to be able to express oneself.
