I funny cheap costume is a Post-IT note- just get two big pieces of Poster Board, and tape them together.

One of my friends dressed up as a pirate pimp one time... it was interesting. he was kinda dressed as a purple pirate with a purple pimp hat and his pimp walking stick/cane thing...
