my understanding is that cells can be used from parts that are thrown in the garbage and that nobody is negatively affected by this. stem cell therapy is available in china right now.

i think stem cells are good if used to grow replacement tissue or organs to save lives. but NO to human cloning.

First of all i support the research, just not Federal funding of the research.
Also: I support Adult stem cell research, not Fetal stem cell research.
The work in China has been very disappointing (so far) and has caused the people experimented on to suffer very bad reactions to it. But there is still a long way to go.
There has been some research on Fetal cells (both in the US and Europe) but nothing has come of it and none of the research suggests that Fetal cells will work any better than the Adult stem cells. Don't buy the hype that Liberals have been inundating the media with. The only ban on stem cell research has been on Fetal stem cells and that is only on Federal Funding of it. Private Universities and Companies can and are working with both Adult and Fetal Stem Cells

i support it all the way i mean what and who is it hurting? no one and it is possibly the cure for cancers in the future. i just read a story about a musician who under went stem cell replacement and his cancer went into remission. this could save many lives... im with it 100 percent

YES! It's the ONLY hope I have for a cure.... I'm diabetic. There's nothing else that even comes CLOSE to giving me a cure within my life time.

Yes!! It kills me to watch my daughter struggle with diabetes. When there could be a cure in our grasp...But instead it goes in the the garbage like you said. It's also being done in Canada now to.

I do support it. Politicians who don't, are just pandering. They're pretending to believe babies are going to be killed, just to play on peoples' ignorance and get more votes.
