Babsy, I've read the other answers so far and none seem to work for me. It's more about attitude and personality than makeup or heels.

Sure, it starts with immaculate grooming, perfect posture, smiling, being helpful to everyone, being friendly to everyone, but there's a completely feminine component that probably takes practice unless you grew up with it. I think you should practice in front of a mirror. Practice moving gracefully and softly, and include girly characteristics into your own natural ways.

Good Luck

P.S. txriss90 has the right idea. Natalie Wood was another girly girl.

I used to be a tomboy. I remember that when i actually started to like boys for more than friends in middle school was the start of me becoming girly. Hanging around other girls who were girly rubbed off on me and Becoming a cheerleader helped me to become even more girly.

Soft colors and textures. Stay away from jewel tones. Shell pink, ice blue, the barest shade of tan. Keep your make-up soft and neutral. No shiny stuff. Think classic. Take a good look at some old Audrey Hepburn pics...she was the ultimate in girly.

It all matters on the inside. If you think you're pretty, you'll have more confidence and you'll gradually become more feminine as you grow to love being a woman. If you have low self-esteem, GET OVER IT! We all have it and you just need to look in the mirror and learn to love who you are. And getting a new outfit doesn't hurt.

I like the first answer.

But if you aren't sure of yourself - find a friend who can help you. If that isn't an option, find movies you like and emulate the actresses (but tone it down to real levels!)

Just be confident in yourself. Wear clothes that show off your curves and that really flatter you. If you are confident people will realize how beautiful you are.
