I'm pretty liberal when it comes to giving a thumbs up, if it is "thumbs up worthy", of course. But I usually only give a thumbs down if the question or answer is like totally off color, or offensive. I think that people like to know how their Q's & A's are being viewed.

I usually give the thumbs up for the answer, sometimes I give thumbs up for the asker. I don't give thumbs down, unless the answer is just really... really ...really...

I honestly don't ever think about it. I answer the question, and don't give a rating at all. It wasn't until a conversation that you & I had that made me start to think about it. I still forget sometimes, but I give a thumbs up on a much more regular basis than I ever did before.

When I remember to, I give a thumbs up if I like the question. I never give thumbs down, even if I don't like it.

Most of the time, I don't rate the question. If it really deserves a particular rating, then I rate it. I like it when people put some thought into the question, or have a sense of humor.
