for the same reason the Cardinals(NFL) blew up last night, because pro athletes can't slow down or they just fall apart. Dammit, the Cards just got a triple as I'm typing this. Anyways if this game was last night like it was supposed to be the Mets would be up by like 10 runs, once you get a rhythm going, you can't let it slow down or it'll be ugly. At least there's a game 6 to look forward to.

The Cardinals pitching is on fire!
Two runs is pretty good against Jeff Weaver and company. Mets need better defense.

Because the Cardinals bullpen is on its game. When they want to be St. Louis's pitching is tough to beat, they are just not as consitant as they were two years ago.

sometimes they struggle a little and thats y they cant hit for beans tonight. if they cant hit next game..... they r on a slump lik a-rod or they keep thinking of corey lidle.........
