negative, are the cheaper ones very likely to come out with a random answer? One of my friends told me that...

Cheaper ones usually has low sensitivity as the chemicals in it are economized though there are also cheaper tests with good performance. Another reason that can make change in the reading is the kind of urine sample you got. When the hormone level in your sample is too low,you will get a negative result that is why early morning urine is preferrred as the pregnancy hormones tend to be higher thus giving better results.♥

Start over again...go and get the most reliable test that they have (ask the pharmacist), and follow the directions very closely. If it is positive, call and make an appointment with your Doctor. If it is negative, let some time go by (weeks - not hours) and try again, if no period has come. If it's negative again, call and make an appointment with your Doctor! Good luck!

sometimes the cheaper ones are not as sensitive as the more expensive ones. They work by measuring the HCG hormone levels in your urine. The more costly ones can measure it as low as .20 and some of the cheapies are at .50.

Hope this helps and good luck- a positive is pretty much almost always accurate.

Cheaper Tests have more diluted chemicals which react to the urine.

Put it this way, get a proper test done by a doctor if your that worried about it.

ALL TESTS ARE THE SAME! You are only paying for the name on the package. If you took two home tests and one said yes and one said no I would have the doc do a test and believe that one.

Well if you are getting different results go with the ept test. that is really accurate. If you think you may be pregnant after that one or you aren't getting a reliable reading, it wouldnt hurt to go see the dr. right away and have them do one. Good luck to you and possibly congrats.

if you were my wife or girl friend I would have you tested @ a lab/hospital too be sure one way or the other unless you want to wait 9 months to find out

idk if the cheaper ones are random or what not, but its probably not going to be as correct as otheres, and since you did have a positve, id suggest taking one more, using the same brand, and if it comes out positive it probably means you are, any you should go to your doctor for an even more relieable source
