There is only one way to defeat nigerian scams: cure stupidity.
Because, after all, it is stupidity that causes a person to fall for such scams.

But since that seems to be impossible, it seems that nigerian scams will plague us forever.

Keep in mind that it's not just the nigerians who do nigerian scams; they just invented it.

Here is an entertaining, if not legal solution. How about a new web service called KILL SPAMMERS. Spammers send out millions of spams per day, so it is time for some payback. If every spam recipient contributed 1 cent to a fund, the fund could put bounties on the spammers. Some punk with a brick could be more persuasive and a lot cheaper than the legal system.

The FBI and State Department are constantly trying to get the Nigerian Government to arrest these scammers. The Nigerian Government is corrupt and these scammers are paying them bribes to avoid arrest.

The Nigerian Police occasionally arrest some poor homeless person that's never seen a computer and claims he is one of the big scammers. Typical, huh.

Firstly, such scammer or spammers are every part of world, Internet users must be educated than educating Nigerians, because not sure they going to change their stupid activity.

Secondly, currently there are no rigid international cyber laws to punish culprits, only thing is to filter all traffic at international gateway devices, that's tedious to implement in long run.

only way is education. i guess with thousands of new internet users everyday. the scam can continue to survive. people are just too greedy and cant pass off on something that promises money for doing nothing. money has to be worked for and if something is too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Paid surveys exist due to the fact that your time and viewpoints are valuable. Companies understand they can not get your feedback totally free. That' why they invest millions of dollars on paid studies each year for people like you to provide their much needed viewpoints on products and services.
