Most definitely. I haven't seen a pager on someone in a long time. I would probably think they were a dork or something. What would be really classic is someone having a pager AND a cell phone. Whats the point of that????

Not quite. A cell phone is useful, but a pager doesn't have the exact same use. A pager really calls someone's attention, and tells them "you're needed/wanted by (Person)", whereas a cell phone can just be a call from Grandma saying "So, how was school? Did you learn anything new? Really, nothing?" and you might not know what the reason for the call is.

Especially for doctors is this true. A doctor can't be distracted by the ringing of a phone, so a beeper is more convienient...it also prevents chatting and getting off track, because pagers are one-way messages, not easily used for chatting...

At least, thats how i feel

Not wholly........but most cell phones are pagers.
