I was fresh out of college and hired at my first job in the local hospital and we were short handed in the emergency room. I was asked if I could work over and I said yes so I was told to go to room 3 and help the patient there . I walked in and almost threw up, her husband had beat her really bad and I recognized her as one of the nurses on the floor where I worked. It was the nastiest and saddest thing I have ever encountered in my life.

A very dear childhood friend of mine, her mother had surgery to remove a vein from her groin and placed in her lower leg. The surgery site at the groin area burst open. And she was rushed to the hospital, well, my friend and her sisters called me and were unable to clean up the mess on the floor. Me being the dear friend that I am said i would do it for them. It was a puddle of coagulated blood, that was rather large and looked like chopped liver on the floor. That was the nastiest thing I have ever personally witnessed, it made it very clear to me I did not want to be a nurse. God bless all of the nurses in the world. I gagged the entire time i was cleaning it up, unfortunate and sad, however, it needed to be done. It was on the kitchen floor. God bless

A car wreck where the seatbelt decapitated the driver. The car drifted off into the ditch and we found the head that had flown through the windshield about 50 feet further down the road.
