True.
Parents can't be with their child 24/7. The village includes teachers, other kids parents, grandparents...all of them play an important part in a child's life.

True. Experiences and knowledge from trusted friends and neighbors can have a positive impact. I would closly monitor anyone spending time with the child but it'd the parents job to worry and the childs job to be a kid and learn.

False. It takes parents that actually care about what their kids are doing and arent afraid to actually discipline them. When parents don't live up to their responsibility, the village ends up having to deal with their disrespectful and undisciplined brats.

Well, I have to answer both. My sister moved home with her two young kids and my brother and I helped watch them while our parents and our older sister worked. It took all of us to make it work. I am now a stay at home mom over 350 miles away from my family with one friend. My husband works off shore and is gone more than he is home. This family has one Chief and three Indians. Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians confuses children on many levels. So my answer is yes....and no.
