Depends on the problem at hand, men usually think about one thing at a time. We use our alone times to figure out problems we are facing, women usually talk to friends and relatives about that stuff. The most important thing to know is an old Chinese proverb that old women would tell a newly wed young woman...Don't follow the dragon into his cave...or you will get burned, he will come out when he is ready. That's how I am anyway.

Well, I'm single, and I do most of my thinking and planning of my day while I'm in the shower, and also while driving.
And of course since we are men, we think about sex, and money, and football.
We think about what we want to go for lunch, not always because of who has the best burgers, but who has the hottest waitresses.
We also think about world events when we listen to the news in our cars.
When arriving home at the end of the day, we check our mail and quickly toss out stupid stuff that we don't want, and sit down and contemplate what bills we are going to pay right now and which can wait a little longer.

I cannot speak for all men but I think about finding a woman that is lonely and needs someone as much as I do. Someone to talk to and will spend time with me and not always have to bring an entourage with us.
