white blood cells in urine-no infection?

my husband has white blood cells in his urine.drs will be doing tests.but so far theres no infections and no pain.what could it be?

this is known as pyuria, there can be tesn of causes, if asymptomatic, I typically repeat the urine in 2-4 weeks, urine microscopy is also helpful, good luck
