how common are inverted or retracted nipples??

I have them and i am a guy.

there are devices to fix them, or you can just get them pierced

There are some plastic peices that fit inside a bra. They have a hole for the nipple area. This helps to correct inverted nipples. I remember seeing them in a Lamaze class before. The instructor was talking to soon to be mothers that wanted to breast feed their baby, with this corrected.
I would suggest asking your doctor about these or call the local hospitals "birthing department." I'm sure if you talk with a person that teaches about breast feeding then they would be able to sell you some of these products or tell you were you could get some. Also you could look at a Maternity store.
I understand that you a probably not pregnant, but these are places that you could get some information as to how you could work with your situation. Good Luck.

YOU COULD FIX THEM BY PEIRCING YOUR NIPPLES-IT FIXED MINE BY DOING THAT.
