Phil, have you been living in a closet? There IS a God and his name is JEHOVAH.

Squirrels are fun to watch, for one thing. They also bury acorns which grow into trees. All playful animals help humans appreciate that they are 'made in the image' of an intelligent heavenly Creator with a sense of humor.

(Psalm 139:6) Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is so high up that I cannot attain to it.

(Job 9:10) Doing great things unsearchable, And wonderful things without number.

(Job 26:14) Look! These are the fringes of his ways, And what a whisper of a matter has been heard of him! But of his mighty thunder who can show an understanding?”

(Job 36:26) Behold! God is more exalted than we can know; In number his years are beyond searching.

(Psalm 92:5) How great your works are, O Jehovah! Very deep your thoughts are.

(Romans 11:33) O the depth of God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable his judgments are and past tracing out his ways are!

Yes, all animals are absolutely necessary in God's plan for this earth and its inhabitants to continue to thrive:

1) They help grow more trees. They bury the acorns, walnuts, or other nuts in the ground before the winter, so any left over will sprout new trees, even an entire forest.
2) To clean the acorns on the ground that fall off the trees so we don't have to step on them, and clean them ourselves.
3) Entertainment for you and your pet - cats and dogs when they see a squirrel and want to chase it.
4) Entertainment for older people - feeding nuts to the squirrels in the park.

My God Phil.. stop taking hallucinogenic drugs!!!!

God made squirrels because like all beings on Earth they are part of the food chain. Everything has its meaning in place and time.

It's about balance. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Squirrels lay on a rock and crack thier nuts and men do the exact opposite. If you are confused by this answer hold it up to a mirror. Good luck!

God didnt make squirrels. All gods are imaginary.

Squirrels are a product of natural selection, and are a beneficial part of the ecosystem in which they live. More than I can say for you..

Are humans necessary? For what? Is that why people invent gods and goddesses? To make humans seem necessary?
