I love Shakespeare, and I just saw the Romeo and Juliet movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes. I'm dying to wear the costume she wore when she first met Romeo (wings and dress). does anybody know any sites that carry movie costumes?

oh my god i LOVE that movie and i LOVE that scene..you should make a costume ...find a white dress and go to any halloween store for wings...but shop around first, get some that most closely resemble hers...good luck..i bet you'll look AwEESoME!!! go to www.halloweenwarehouse.com its kinda cheap...or even target.com or walmart.com

I have yet to see any site that carries anything that looks like her dresses in the movie, but they do have other sites that have medieval costumes. Have you thought about making your own. If it is the one I am thinking about with the simple flowing cotton white gown with the realistic looking wings? I think if you got some close up shots you mayable to make it. For the wings you can hot glue white feathers which you can find at most larger craft stores to a pair of generic clear or white wings that hook onto your back. Childrens size would work because they look small on her back. Maybe hit some of the consigment stores for a cotton sheer like blouse and long skirt and tie it off with belt of sheer cotton. I wish I was there because I could make that myself. Have you looked on Ebay at all.

Getting that costume would be expensive! Why don't you take a picture to a seamstress and have it made for you? The style really isn't that difficult for someone who knows how to sew. There is quite a lot of fabric in the dress, though, so choose the fabric carefully if you want to keep the cost down. You can have the seamstress advise you on the fabric to purchase.
