Whenever I hear "Rhythm of the falling rain" I think of Ricky Nelson.

Dusty Springfield's "I only want to be with you" is similar in part of the melody.Is that what you mean by "similar" or are you thinking era, or time? Time wise, I think maybe "The Vogues" or "The Lettermen"

how about "crying in the rain"? it's a sad song though.
