Depends on how hard your friend is.
Battery, Fade to Black, One, Master of Puppets, For Whom the Bell Tolls etc. all good songs but to get any footage of Metallica playing them you'll have to try and get them off the protected box set CD/ video collection or really hunt for a illegal download site Remember all their stuff is protected or copyrighted ( remember Napster and Lars)
I haven't found anything I really love about Tool yet so sorry can't help you there

I am NOT a Tool fan at all but Metallica is my favorite band.
Their best songs are anything from the early days, or prior to the Black Album. My fave song is Seek & Destroy from Kill 'Em All.

It doesn't really matter what song by TOOL, they're all great. That's like asking a mother to pick a favorite child. As for Metallica, I'd have to go with Welcome Home (Sanitarium).

Im not a big Tool fan..but I always like track #69 on Undertow
Metallica...anything old..that's the best stuff. A few of my faves...

i would have to say i enjoy Both bands....but i think my fav. metallica song is "The Memory Remains" and for Tool..."Schism" that is just my thoughts....

Neither band produces many videos, and their best songs definitely don't have them.
