I would call your regular pharmicist, and ask them what would be safest for her to use, and what the definate no-no's are. I say pharmacist, instead of doctor, because they are usually updated more on all medications then a doctor (think about it, how many times has a doc had to call a pharmacy to ask questions before they give you a prescription for anything). Usually, though, regular tylenol (lowest dose on the market) is considered ok for pregnant women, if taken sparingly. Anything with the words 'cold', 'flu,' or 'cough' should be throuroughly checked into. Go through the ingredients listed on the bottle, to make sure no type of alcohol or dyphehydramine is listed. A good website to go to for any type of medical advice is http://www.webmd.com It's free, and has numerous ways in which to help people. It would be in the unborn baby's/babies best interest/s not to take anything until given the go-ahead by a professional like an obgyn or pharmacist.

Congratulations! Best of luck! And I hope she feels better soon!

I got sick alot while pregnant and so my doctor gave me a list of medicine pregnant women could take so I was never unsure. And on my list it doesn't say ya can take tylenol cough medicine. It says you can take Chloroseptic spray, regular Robitussin or Robitussin DM. However it does say under Sinus Congestion you can take Tylenol cold/Sinsus or Sudafed(red pill). Hope that helps. Good luck getting better..

I'm 5 months and my doctor told me I could take Tylenol for my back pain (3 herniated disks.) I called about a cold and he suggested Tylenol cold for kids. The best thing to do is call your doctor, the nurses can usually tell you whats safe to take and what she/he recommends.

ALWAYS ASK her OBGYN... I took Tylenol sparingly (I had bad migraines when I was preggy) as for a sore throat try honey with tea... Don't screw around with meds when preggy. Try to wait out the discomfort especially with a simple cold and sore throat. Give her lots of TLC and snuggles. Good luck.

Most docs say you can take any Tylenol product - but my doc said for a sore throat, I could only take cough drops (sparingly), throat spray, or gargle with salt water.

Consult the doc before you take it.

When I was sick with a cold, I called a registered nurse hot line and they told me that, yes, I could take tylenol. She did however tell me to avoid Asprine and ibaprophin.

I will just take regular tylenol pills. Or just tell her to honey with lemon, or rub vicks around her throat and chest..Thats what it worked for me when i had the flu. But i will call doctor just in case.
