I have in my junk drawer old receipts, a tape measure, pens and markers, paperclips, an old cell phone, a padlock, business cards, and spare batteries.

best intentions said 'this is for all those little things that don't have a place - but I need 'em all' - so - that would be fuses, batteries, string, rubber bands, - but it quickly expanded to twist ties, corks, bottle caps (some are interesting) and lord knows what - screwdrivers, un identifiable spare parts (those extra bits you get with IKEA kits for example), and a whole bunch of grocery bills and ;lottery tickets. I just went and looked - bet some of this stuff has been in there ten years. I wonder If I can place it as a 'grab bag' on eBay? he-he-he... "if you recognize it, you got a bargain!"

I have junk DRAWERS. I have managed to create one in almost every room in my house, I'm ashamed to say. The things that are in them, are things that belong in some other room. If I moved the stuff to the proper room, it would just end up in that room's junk drawer.
