Never burn scented candles, incense, or oils in any location where the sent can get to the bird. Be especially careful of the glade candles, they have killed birds in the past. Birds have sensitive lungs, that's why they used to be used to detect gases in mines, and even with our troops in Iraq.

Unscented candles are fine, we have used them several times during power outages. The only problem with them is the fire / burning hazard.

I burn candles, and incense, but in the other room from my parrot, and the smell/smoke does not go that far in the house. Don't know what lamp berger is. To be safe, don't do it around the bird/in same room.

Yes, still trainable, actually a very good time to start.

We burn candles a lot but never a lamp berger. I am not sure what all is in the oil and with out reading up on them I would not try it. Not worth killing your friend. Get a candle or something or make sure what ever is in the berger is not toic to birds.

I think candles are ok ( not to close) but for the lamp berger I'm not sure. Ask Vet.
