Brazil has a diverse culture. Do they have as much racism there as in the US of A?

When I was in brazil in 1956 I mixed freely with all brazilians.We often dined in resturaunts,and found absolutely everyone was the same regardless of color.Even when visiting homes we found that couples married each other without racial prejudice.Oh what a different story,when we visited new orleans,houston and miami.You can check this for yourselves.Lena Horne one of the most famous female singers in the world,was warned and told to get out of new orleans by the KKK Also at that time nat king cole was assaulted and escorted out of houston What happened to louis armstrong was even worse.Now these were world class entainers who were railroaded.Heaven only knows what the ordinary every day citizen had to endure if they were'nt white

Do we not have a diverse culture in the States? I think pretty much everyone has at least as much racism as the U.S.

OMG... you really haven't seen the world if you think US has a lt of racism... Don't know about Brazil, but compared to where I grew up US is a welcoming paradise to all races. :-)

You really should see how people with accents are treated in my country. Or maybe you shouldn't because I find it embarrasing.

Dunno, never been. I can tell you that every country has racism, and that the US is not the worst of all countries.
