What do you mean its not the right spot to ask this question.? It is exactly the right place, however I probably won't be able to give a good answer on this one.
Also, wear something you personally feel comfortable in. I actually, don't give a rats *** about what other people think should or shouldn't be worn to a drag show. I didn't even know that there were lame clothes. I mean something comfortable wins over every time. So if wearing a dress makes you feel comfortable, wear that. Or if wearing a hat or leather pants makes you feel comfortable, wear that. Plus, why would you worry about what anyone thinks anyway?

No white shoes, its after Labor day. Nothing sparkly, you'll distract the Drag Queens. Nothing with tweed or elbow patch's, I shouldn't have to explain that.
What I like on a young man is black leather pants or black jeans, black silk or black cotton shirt (black silk for the leather, black cotton for the jeans), black boots for either, and a black leather jacket if you need a jacket. Don't wear jewelry, unless you wear an earring, then a simple diamond stud or small silver hoop is very sexy. If you want to look especially hot, line your eyes with black eyeliner and use a grey shadow to look smoky eyed, and/or paint your nails black. Now if you are over 35 this is going to look like you are trying too hard. In that case, jeans, nice button down shirt, no tennies.
Have fun and don't forget the dollars for the Ladies.

Jeans, a casual button down shirt and leather shoes, like loafers. Make sure your belt, shoes and socks all match!

If you are in the audience, dress like a male -- like you -- look nice, look hot, and have fun. That's all.
