How can Americans truly understand the complexities of Iraq? We're inundated with superficial news coverage, and the fact that our government is closed and secretive doesn't help the American people find out what's going on, either.

I don't think so... From what I know their religion believes something's gonna happen if the whole world doesn't give in to buddhism or muslim or sumthin like that... When you think abour it in their eyes we're the one that's is evil and there really is no point in war! That's not even half the reason I hate Bush!

GOod ? and the answer is ... some do but most do not. Of course, the government only tells us what it wants us to know. Therefore, we don't know everything. On the other hand, the government is acting in our best interest;however, there are many people who do not get that. They think our government is against us and that is just down-right SILLY

Well Bush had proof there were weapons of mass distruction in Iraq, and he had proof that Iraq help fund 911.
Not sure where his proof came from. But he was wrong. They found no weapons and Iraq had nothing to do with 911.
The thing is, has Bush come forward and publically announced his mistake? Bush is an idot. And that is just my opion. I am allowed to say that because I did not vote for him.
Bush knows that this war is and was a mistake, so the war will go on untill the next election. He wants someone else to clean up the mess he has made.
He does not want to be the president know for starting a war on issues he claimed to have proof about. Then it turned out he was wrong.
So our next president will be left to clean up his mess......
I support our troups....And yes they joined the military, so yes it is their duty. But how many of them joined the army thinking their would be a war. They want to protect and help the united states...
Has Bush or anyone in the cabinet sent their loved ones over to fight in the war in Iraq and Affganestan..... The two wars are not related. Now that we know Iraq had nothing to do with 911.
The war in Affganestan is about 911. So yes we have a right to be over, after what they did on 911.
The thing is. you do not hear much about the military in Affganestan on the news. The main focus in Iraq.
Bush thinks that he can change Iraq and change their goverment and religion. Bush wants to control the Iraq. Which in my opinion he has no right....
There is so much that we do not hear, we do not hear the truth.
The soldier who was in Iraq fighting, and took pictures of the coffins of dead americans. Then she took pictures of of soldiers drapping the american flag on these coffins.
The women came home and put these pictures on a web sight and gave the pictures away. It is illegal for any american to take pictures of the coffins of dead soldiers. Bush is making sure this women goes to trail. and she is looking at many years in prison. If Bush has his way she will get life in prison....
Why cant we as americans see the coffins of our soldiers. This women has been kicked out of the military and lost all rankings and benifits.
I saw the pictures she put on the net, and it send shivers down my spine. I am proud that she had the courage to take these pictures and show them. It is a part of the war that we never see....
Then the american soldiers who were arrested in Iraq and brought back to the states to be tried for abusing Iraq hostages.
If up to Bush these men will get life in prison. Strange, if these Iraq people were on the street our soldiers could kill them, and it would be ok. but it is ok to take them hostage, but not ok to abuse them. W\hy not just shoot them cold blooded on the street.
Iraq soldiers are not treating american prisonors properly. My point is, how can Bush justify killing someone cold blooded on the street, but not justifying abusing someone who is a prisonor.
To sum it up. Bush and his cabinet need to get their A....S...S....
over to Iraq and Afganestan and put on a uniform and head for the front line of duty....

Nope, most of them only believe what CNN or Fox News tells them. Or what they want to know. You could hit some people over the head with the truth and they wont see it if they dont want to.
