I know this sounds kinda crazy but I am doing an "alien" project. We were assigned different planets where the alien was supposed to be from. My dumb*** teacher assigned me earth. Not for anything but how often do you step outside and trip over an alien? Anyway, I just need basic information such as average temperature, distance from the earth, and all little fun things like that. A list of factual websites would really be helpful. :D Thanks.

The Earth is aproxmently 93 million miles away from the sun. 70% percent the Earth is covered by water, but only 1% is fresh water and 2% of is frozen as glaciers, and 97% percent of Earths water is salt. The average surface tempurture of the Earth 59°F (15°C). The moon is 238,857 miles away from the Earth.

I'm curious, who is the one that's dumb the teacher or the student, who can't even find some basic information like this on their own? Especially, when you have so many resources available to you. You could have found the information at the library in those things on the shelves called books, or your could have used your computer to looked up the information in the Internet.
