The one game suspensions are enough and they have now enacted a zero tolerance policy for violence. They just now have a zero tolerance policy for violence. The convicts are truly running the prison in my opinion.

I agree that almost nobody thinks about players making curfew, or how they are doing in their studies as we want to be entertained and care little about that stuff. I do believe though that a near riot during a football game is different, a lot different. Not making curfew isnt going to seriously injure someon like say swinging a football helmet at someone would, and getting a D isnt as bad as stomping on a guy when he has two people on him and he is on his back on the ground. Pacers at Pistons at the Palace players were suspended, and faced criminal charges, the fight that happened Saturday while it didnt involve fans was just as bad. Whats the difference? FIU took it seriously, while Miami obviously holds itself to very low standards of what is acceptable and how it wants to be viewed. Its not the first time this year that Miami has been involved in this type of behaviour, and I am sure it wont be the last. Most fans are disgusted with their reaction to the incident.

Don't get wrapped up in the "verbage" of a zero-tolerance policy. It means absolutely nothing, it just puts a pretty face on an ugly situation.

Alot of people will complain that this University cares only about winning, and not about running a respectable program. They're absolutely right. And you know who is to blame for that?? Us.

All we (the fans) care about is winning, so why should the team care about anything else. It's not like we're going to pay to watch a game of average teams just because they run clean, wholesome programs. We just want to see good football.

How many times have you watched a college football game and thought to yourself......"hmmm, I wonder if these players made curfew this week" or ......"I hope that this player is doing well with his studies". Go ahead, count how many times you've asked yourself. Probably never.

The point is, it's our (the fans) fault that a program gets that far out of control. If we boycotted them and they stopped making money, you can bet you would see a zero-tolerance policy that wasn't just "verbage".

Plus the fact the President of the University stated they don't condone the actions of it's players? Well if they allow some of those kids to play after that suspension then they do condone it. There has been way too many incidences with this university, maybe they need to drop the program for awhile and get it cleaned up

No, they just care about one thing, winning. Oh no, they don't care that people think they are the most passive university when it comes to punishing their athletes, why would they? This is absolutely nuts! When did some of these athletic programs lose their testicles! I mean come on, at least suspend the guy who threw the helmet and the one blatently stomping on people out for the rest of the year. Is winning more important than pride for your school?!
